The 60 Best Number Ones
This is the G’s jubilee pop special: one chart-topper per year for each of the last 60 years. I wrote about 6 of these, but only 5 made it in - my encomium to Shanks & Bigfoot’s “Sweet Like Chocolate” for ‘99 was replaced with a Peter Robinson piece on “The Millennium Prayer”. OH WELL. I still got Cher Lloyd in for 2011, and the comments on that are shaping up nicely.
