Cupdate!
It’s been a little while since I pushed the Freaky Trigger Pop World Cup event on Tumblr. Lots more music up there - of the matches currently in play I’d particularly recommend the Portugese dubstep track and Scribe from New Zealand with a track that’s a kind of fantasy league Jay-Z/Amerie/Rich Harrison collaboration. The Cameroon and Paraguay songs are lovely examples of (apparently) fairly typical pop from each country, too.
